| | Painter. Born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1844. Williams studied in Paris under Aime Nicholas Morot and, while there, exhibited at the Salon. She came to San Francisco in 1873 and during her last 16 years maintained a residence at 120 Sutter Street with her mother. A spinster, she died of consumption at the home of artist Raymond Yelland in East Oakland on July 25, 1889. Her rare works include portraits and still lifes. Exh: SFAA, 1873-89; Mechanics' Inst. (SF), 1876-78, 1888; Snow & May's Gallery (SF), 1878; Morris & Kennedy Gallery (SF), 1880.
