| Elsie Ramsey Weeks (1889-1927) was born in Rye, New York on September
22, 1889 to John Ramsey, a 24-year-old laborer of Irish immigrant
parentage, and Katherina Von Hagen, a 19-year-old domestic servant of
German ancestry who was born in 1869 aboard a ship traveling from
Norway to New York. There is no record that John Ramsey and
Katherina Von Hagen ever married, and Elsie Ramsey may indeed have been
illegitimate. Records show that, by 1900, John Ramsey was married
to a differ (showing 500 of 2995 characters). |
