Born in Göteborg, Sweden on June 24, 1885, Wilson settled in Los Angeles about 1921. He received a B.A. degree from the University of California, and further studied there at the Art Center School and with Carl Oscar Borg.
He was an art teacher at Thomas Edison High School from the late 1920s. He died in Los Angeles on August 28, 1969.
