| | Born in Indiana on Nov. 1, 1878. Before serving in WWI, Wilson painted miniatures. Due to shellshock he was partially blind for several years following the war. He established a studio in Los Angeles in 1926 and, then unable to paint miniatures, produced portraits, flower pieces, and still lifes while working as a freelance commercial artist.
