This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Felice Woodworth was born June 22, 1914 in Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of the Pratt Institute in New York. While there, her instructor for two years was the well- known watercolorist, Ogden M. Pleissner. She also studied at the National Academy in New York and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. She spent time studying under Millard Sheets, Gerald Brommer, and Tom Nicholas, to name a few.

Woodworth specialized in controlled representational works for many years. In her latter years she diversified into mixed media abstracts while continuing her representational works.

She settled in the San Diego area in the late 1970's and became active in several art associations. She served on the Board of Directors of Watercolor West, and was a Signature Member of that organization. She was a member of the American Artist's Professional League. Woodworth is a Past President of the Rancho Bernardo Art Club (San Diego), and Past President (1987-88) of the La Jolla Art Association (Founded by Maurice Braun, Charles Reiffel, Alfred Mitchell, and Charles Fries). She was also an official U.S. Coast Guard Artist. She maintained her studio in Rancho Bernardo, California.

Woodworth died on April 13, 1996 in San Diego, California.
