A teacher and sculptor of life-size figures and animals, "notable for their energetic musculature and rich, patinated surfaces" (1), Gary Weisman has been on the faculty as a professor of sculpture at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art since 1986. He is a member of the National Sculpture Society and is noted for his close attention to details through all of processes in creating his sculptures.
He built his own foundry, mixes his own clay in 700-pound batches, uses the lost-wax process (showing 500 of 3542 characters). |
