| Born in McCune, KS on Sept. 21, 1886. Whetsel was a pupil of Clyde Keller in Portland, OR where she lived during the 1920s. She moved to Los Angeles in the early 1930s and was active there until her death in Orange County on Oct. 31, 1952.
