| | Born in Berkeley, CA on July 29, 1905, the daughter of Christopher Snyder who was construction engineer for Coit Tower, San Francisco City Hall and others. After graduating from Berkeley High School, Helen enrolled at the CCAC where she received a B.A. degree in 1927. Her early works were mostly landscapes; she later specialized in "fantasies" and still lifes with figurines. Mrs. Wood exhibited locally and won numerous awards before her death in Berkeley on March 19, 1994. Member: SWA; SF Women Artists; Marin AA; Oakland AA; Alameda AA.
