The following, submitted January 2005 by Bill Rosewood, is an autobiography written by the artist for the Old Deerfield Painting Group. Rosewood writes: "It is believed that Ida was born in 1920 and is still painting."
Ida Waslaske still lives and paints from her hilltop home in northern Massachusetts, where she was born and raised.
On a clear day, one sees Mt. Monadnock in the distance. These rolling hills and valleys are the inspiration for her work.
