| | Born in Monroe, WI on July 27, 1857. Ward studied art in Warren, IL about 1880. She taught painting in several states until 1911 when she settled in Los Angeles. Except for the year 1939 when she lived in San Francisco, she was a resident of Los Angeles until her demise on Nov. 16, 1945.
