| | Born Cincinnati . Painter, specialized in portraits and panoramas. Came to Topeka to visit his son-in-law, Chris Bernhard, and do some work. Painted portraits of 232 Lincoln, Harriet Beacher Stowe, Bishop McIlvane, John Brown, Governor A. H. Reeder and others. His portraits of John Brown and Governor A. H. Reeder were purchased by the House and Senate. At one point he was collecting material for a historical picture of early Kansas.
