| | Born in Iowa in 1859. Kate More studied at the School of Design while in San Francisco in 1880 and was in Los Angeles in 1883. By the late 1890s she had married Charles Wells and lived in San Francisco until 1917. Her forte was floral still lifes. Wells Park in Wailuku on Maui is named for the family. Exhibited: San Francisco Art Ass’n, 1893; Kilohana Art League (Hawaii), 1900; Oakland Art Gallery, 1917.
