Kenneth Wyatt works in oil, watercolor, pencil, pastel, charcoal and sculpture. His sculptures are cast in bronze, pewter and stone. He is known for his numerous books as author, poet and illustrator. His work is produced for the public in original form, giclees (canvas prints), framed or matted prints, note cards, Christmas cards, jewelry and limited edition bronze and pewter sculptures.

Wyatt is best known for his Western and Christian art as well as for landscape, portrait, still life and character study work. One of his Christian paintings is "Offer Them Christ," observing 200 years of Methodism in the United States.

Beyond lonesome cowboys and biblical figures, Dr. Wyatt painted a larger-than- life portrait of the New York Yankee's Mickey Mantle, which was commissioned for the Oklahoma State Capitol Building. Recently he was chosen to paint the official portrait of Texas Supreme Justice Jack Hightower. This portrait hangs in the Supreme Court Collection at the Tom C. Clark building in Austin, Texas. His art is owned by former Presidents, U.S. Congressman, State Senator, the Queen of England, celebrities and major corporations.

Wyatt is the founder and first president of Texas Cowboy Artist Association; recipient of the West Texas Chamber of Commerce Cultural Achievements Award; Cultural Representative of Texas to the Bicentennial Celebration in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; recipient of the Harry Denman Evangelism Award; Man of the Year Award, Tulia, Texas. He served on the National Board of Evangelism for the United Methodist Church. He was selected the outstanding alumnus of the 1940's decade of Tarleton University, Stephenville, Texas, and received an outstanding alumni award at McMurry University, Abilene, Texas. He was presented the George F. Hixson Fellow Kiwanis International Award; 1999 Western Art American Cowboy Culture Award by the National Cowboy Symposium; and the Baptist General Convention of Texas 1999 Communications Award.

Kenneth Wyatt is also an after-dinner speaker and lecturers in the United States. He is a former speaker for the Knife and Fork Club of America.

He did his undergraduate studies at Tarleton University in Stephenville, Texas, and McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. Graduate work was done at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and Iliff School of Theology, Denver, Colorado. He received his Doctorate of Fine Arts from McMurry University in Abilene.

Dr. Wyatt and his wife, Veda, live in Tulia, Texas. They also spend time in Red River, New Mexico.
