| Born on March 23, 1862 in Louisville, Kentucky, Laura Prather came to California with her family in the 1870s, settling in San Francisco in 1882. She married Guy Waterbury in November 1904, when she was 42 years old. She studied art at the School of Design under Virgil Williams. She maintained a studio and was active in the local art scene until the earthquake of 1906. Moving to southern California, Mrs. Waterbury then settled in Corona where she remained until her death on (showing 500 of 747 characters). |
