Laurence P. Williams was a painter
of the Western Landscape in and around Oklahoma, like his friend and
boss, Oscar Brousse Jacobson who was Art Director at the University of Oklahoma and who hired Williams as
the Painting Instructor back in 1925 just after Williams had graduated from Yale University.
He, like Jacobson,
exhibited in New York at the Society of Independent Artists in 1928. His
style was very similar to Jacobson's early-mid 20's work (showing 500 of 703 characters). |
