| Born in Alameda, California on April 26, 1896, Wallace studied with Maurice Sterne and with Andre Lhote in Paris. A lifelong resident of California, she lived in Berkeley, San Francisco, and taught art at Marysville High School for many years.
Upon retirement in 1959, she settled in Carmel Valley and lived there until her demise on June 26, 1971.
