This biography from the Archives of AskART:

Born 1889 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she studied at the Art Student's League with Frank DuMond, at the Boston Museum of Fine Art School with P. Hale, also with Charles Hawthorne and William Metcalf.  In Europe, she studied with Galemberti and Venturini-Papari in Rome, and also in Paris, France.


Wilcox had a solo exhibition at the Detroit Museum of Art in 1913, and participated in group exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art in 1926, 1928; National Academy of Design; Corcoran Biennials 1935, 1937; Century of Progress, Chicago; Salons of America; Fifity Prints of the Year, 1939; other numerous national exhibitions of lithographs.

She was a member of the College Art Association of America and the Woodstock Art Association.

Wilcox contributed to the Magazine of Art and taught drawing and painting at Sweet Briar College in Vriginia from 1933 to 1946.
