Lyle Edward Ward was born in Topeka, Kansas on February 4, 1922. He earned a BFA and a MFA from the Kansas City Art Institute. Pupil of Miron Sokole, William McKim, and Wallace Rosenbauer. Taught at Ozarks Univ. in Clarksville, AR from 1956-1987.
Exhibitions: Brooklyn Museum, 1951; Corcoran Gallery Biennial, 1959; Butler Institute of American Art, 1959, 1960; Missouri Valley Artists, 1954-62; and many more.
