| Born in Berkeley, CA on April 29, 1913. Wentworth studied at Radcliffe College and under Roi Partridge at Mills College in Oakland followed by work at the AIC and Fogg Museum at Harvard University. During an earlier marriage she painted under the name Margaret Millard (1934-49). A lifelong resident of California, she married architect Nathaniel Owings in 1952 and settled on the coast at Big Sur. She stopped painting in 1960 and turned to collage in stitchery and to campaigning for wildlife (showing 500 of 742 characters). |
