| Born in San Francisco, CA on March 9, 1905. Uprooted by the earthquake of 1906, the Scott family moved across the Golden Gate to Ross where Mildred's grandfather, Harry Scott, was the town's first mayor. Opting for an art career, she studied at the CSFA and privately with Jade Fon, Harold Gretzner, Nat Levy, and Herman Struck. Active in the local art scene, she exhibited and taught both in Marin County and San Francisco. She died died in the latter on Jan. 7, 1980.
