| Born in Dallas, TX on April 5, 1908. Pegot’s married name was Wolf for a brief time in the 1920s; for her professional name, she adopted the name Waring. She studied at Washington University and at the AIC in 1935. By 1938 she had settled in Los Angeles. She taught at Otis Art Institute, Pomona College, and Los Angeles Institute of Art. Except for 1948 when she was in New York City, she lived in Los Angeles until her demise on Feb. 26, 1983.
