The following, submitted February 2003, is from Diane Waterhouse, wife of the artist:

Ralph Waterhouse was born in England in 1943 and began a professional painting career in 1973.  He painted wildlife subjects in natural environment and had work published in the1980s in the United Kingdom by the Royal Society for Protection of Birds and the World Wildlife Fund.

He emigrated to the United States in the mid 1980s and began painting landscapes en plein air.  He opened a gal (showing 500 of 3238 characters).
