This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Surrounded by horses living on a farm as a child and adult near Cohasset, Massachusetts, Richardson White became a sculptor of horses. In the late 1920s and early 30s, he worked with Boston sculptor, Joseph Colletti.
He participated in fox hunting, steeple chasing and flat racing, which gave him an opportunity to observe the animals in many activities.
He continues to live at Cohasset, having graduated from Harvard University in 1927. In 1976, he won the Dr. Maurice Hexter Prize from the National Sculpture Society for "Walking Hunter", a realist depiction of a horse.
