Born in Pekin, IL on Aug. 27, 1881. Wildhack studied in Indianapolis with Otto Stark. Upon moving to NYC, he was a pupil of Robert Henri and later worked as an illustrator for Life magazine. His health forced him to seek the milder climate of southern California in 1920. After establishing a home in La Crescenta, he became a popular poster artist. He had somewhat of a career as a comedian and attemped a come-back in NYC before his death in Montrose, CA on June 19, 1940. Member: Salmagundi Club; Society of Illustrators. Exh: Cartoonist Club (LA), 1928.
