This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| An East Coast native, he became a Colorado landscape painter because of his love of the natural surroundings in that state.
He earned an undergraduate degree in textile design and an MFA in painting and print making. After teaching three years at North Texas state University, he made his living for many years as a textile designer, living in California and getting major textile commissions for hotels. He also had one-man textile shows at Nieman Marcus stores.
A move to Roswell, New Mexico led him to pastel painting, and later he and his wife, Letitia, moved to Loveland, Colorado where they live and he paints from a two-thousand foot loft. |
