Ruth Weisberg works primarily in painting, drawing, lithography, and large-scale installations. She was born in Chicago, Illinois and studied at the Accad di Belli Arte in Perugia, Italy and earned BS and MA degrees from the University of Michigan.
Her recent honors include Doctor of Humane Letters, honoris causa, Hebrew Union College, 2001; College Art Association Distinguished Teaching of Art Award 1999; Visiting Artist at the American Academy in Rome 1995, 1994, and 1992; National End (showing 500 of 31364 characters). |
