Watercolorist Ruth Wynn was born in Sudbury, Massachusetts. She attended the Oak Grove School in Maine, The Museum School and The Modern School in Boston.

Wynn has won numerous awards throughout her career including honors from The American Watercolor Society, the National Academy and Allied Artists of America. Her work can be found in public and private collections throughout the United States. Wynn served as the "Artist in Residence" for the Cambridge, Massachusetts school system.

Ruth Wynn enjoys painting outside as well as at home in her studio.
She likes to be prepared at all times for unexpected inspirations. She carries with her all the tools she needs to paint. Wynn has even invented the "Wheezle," an easel attached to a bicycle, for those areas inaccessible by car.

Wynn resides in Waltham, Massachusetts.
