A part of the 1960 and 70s hippie culture underground comix* movement, Skip Williamson, whose real first name is Merwyn, was born in Texas and spent much of his growing up in Canton, Missouri. He earned the name Skip from his grandmother because of his tendency to get into trouble and to 'skip' good behavior.
"His parents didn't allow him to own comic books. Luckily
they were unable to stop him from reading them, which had the agreeable
side-effect that Williamson had (showing 500 of 7677 characters). |
