Thomas Wise of Halifax, Pennsylvania won the 2002 Dana Bartlett Award at the "Side by Side" Exhibition of artists from the National Watercolor Society and the Philadelphia Water Color Society.

Thomas Wise earned a MFA degree from the University of Delaware in Newark, a BFA degree from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and a diploma of completion from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
