| Uwe Werner was born in Koblenz, Germany in 1942. Werner arrived in the U.S. in 1952. He obtained his B.A. from the University of Washington. By the 1970s he had established an art gallery in Coronado, California. He received national attention when featured in Southwest Art magazine in July 1979. His work includes seascapes, coastal scenes, and desert landscapes. He currently lives on a ranch on the San Diego coast near Bonita.
