This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Born in New York City, William Willet lived in Philadelphia and New York. He studied at the Mechanics and Tradesmens Institute in New York and with William Merritt Chase, William Whittaker, and John LaFarge. He was a member of the Mural Painters, the Architecture League, and the Philadelphia Art Alliance.
His stained glass windows are in numerous locations including at West Point Military Academy, the Post Graduate College at Princeton, and St. Paul's Church in Pittsburgh. He is the author of a book titled Stained Glass in Our Churches.
