Aurelio Yammerino (1912-2000)
Leaning toward expressionism in his painting, Yammerino never stopped experimenting while creating new images, techniques and color values. He is quoted as saying: "What a tragedy it would be to stand and contemplate, to repeat without variation, or to be enamored of style or technique".
He was born November 26, 1912 in New Rochelle and graduated from New Rochelle High School. He served in The United States Army during World War II, Company L, 3 (showing 500 of 1662 characters). |
