| A pastel artist of portraits and landscapes, Brenda Yirsa has won juried pastel awards at the Montana State Fair and People's Choice at the Sweetwater National Show in Wyoming. She is an Associate member of the American Academy of Women Artists.
Note from the artist: "In August of 2002, I won the Doc Smith Achievement award for the pastel painting "Mountain Man" at the Blackfoot Valley Benefit Art Auction in Lincoln, MT. On December 7, 2002 at the 1st Annual "Evening of Art" Benefit in Big Sandy, MT, my quick draw pastel painting was among the successful offerings. |
