Cullen Yates — landscape and still life painter of rivers, coastal scenes, villages, and flowers — was born in Bryan, OH on January 24,1866 and died in Shawnee, PA in July of 1945. He maintained his studio and residence for many years in Shawnee-on-the-Delaware, Monroe County, PA.
In New York, Yates studied with William Merritt Chase (1849-1916) and Leonard Ochtman (1854-1934) and at the Natio (showing 500 of 2402 characters). |
