| Born in Red Bluff, California on April 24, 1907, Young studied with Alexander Archipenko and at the Art Students League in New York City while there in the late 1930s. At that time she married a man named Bohnenblust and worked under that name until the early 1950s when arthritis halted her art production. Mrs. Bohnenblust was a resident of Santa Barbara, California until her demise in April 2001.
