The following biographical information is from David Clover.
During World War II, George Yphantis worked as a draftsman for Kaiser
Shipyards in Richmond, California. He was one of the artists who
exhibited three pieces in a show called "Men and Ships" held near the
Shipyards in December, 1943 and then at the De Young Museum in January,
1944.
Also working at the shipyards with George was Alexander Napote.
