| | Born in Illinois on Sept. 27, 1908. Todd studied for two years at the Evanston (IL) Art Academy and in Munich at the Debshitz School of Arts with Hans Hofmann. She lived in Italy for several years before moving to San Francisco in 1937. After her marriage to artist Mayo Beckford Young, she moved across the bay to Sausalito.
