The following information was submitted in July of 2006 by Virginia G. Barrett, grandniece of Mary L. Young:


Mary Louise Young was born Sept. 23, 1875 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the third oldest of nine children.  Her family moved to Greenwich, CT in 1880 and in 1900 moved to Cos Cob, CT where they lived until 1914.
 
Miss Young attended the Art Students League of New York from 1896-1897 and again from 1899-1900 where she studied under John Henry Twachtman.  (showing 500 of 6079 characters).
