Thomas J Yarwood (1871-1946)
He was the Northwich librarian and, among many attributes, was a well known artist. One of his paintings - identified as such by its local title - has been sold twice in recent years in the US.
He was born 1871 and worked at Northwich Library for 61 years, starting at 14 ona salary of 60 pence per his 66 hour week! He became librarian in 1895 and was a noted raconteur and historian, dying in 1946, aged 75.
