He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing in 1987,
and participated in the Four Youths Oil Painting Exhibition organized
by the International Art Gallery, Beijing
a year later, in 1988. Subsequently, he participated in group
exhibitions at the International Art Gallery, Beijing
1991, had a solo exhibition at the SCITECH Building, Beijing in 1992,
and a solo exhibition at the Contemporary Art Gallery of the Central
Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing
He was part of a group exhibition at the International Art Gallery,
in 1995, the International Art Gallery, Beijing
in 1996, and was awarded an Honorable Prize at the group exhibition at
Wang Fung Gallery at the Beijing Imperial Archives Museum; paintings
were publicized in the Asian Art Journal
in 1997. In 1998, he participated in the China Art Expo, Beijing,
and in 2000, he exhibited at the 1st Chinese Painting and Oil Painting
Exhibition at the China Art Gallery held by the Beijing Jiuzhou
Calligraphy and Painting College.
His solo exhibition, entitled Crossings - Enchanting Jiangnan
took place at the Galerie du Monde, Hong Kong
in 2002, and in that year, his painting "Yearning for Knowledge"
was auctioned at the Mother's Choice Gala Ball in Hong
Other exhibitions include solos Familiar Places, Familiar Faces at the Galerie du Monde, Hong Kong
2003-2006, and the Odon Wagner Gallery.
His work was shown at the Toronto International Art Fair, Canada, and Art Miami
2004 and 2005, Miami Beach, Florida, USA.
His paintings are in the collections of eminent Chinese collectors,
including the Honorable Qiao Shi, the retired Chief Executive of the
Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Beijing, China.
