| Painter, William A. Youngblood currently lives in Powhatan, Virginia and was born in 1915 at Sweetwater, Tennessee. After serving as a nature artist and architectural draftsman for the National Park Service, he became art director at several ad agencies and corporations. In 1971, he became a full-time artist and a member of the American Watercolor Society, and signature member of the Georgia and Virginia Watercolor Societies. He has taken best in show at many regional juried shows along the East Coast.
His work is currently available in major Galleries in Washington DC, Richmond and Norfolk Virginia, Nags Head NC and Charleston, S.C. He paints in acrylics and oils, but is best known for his rustic watercolors. Mr. Youngblood is active in passing his talents along via demonstrations, classes and lectures to art societies and student groups.
