|  Franz Zallinger was a landscape and marine painter, who was born in Salzburg, Austria and settled in Seattle, Washington. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Bavaria and in Vienna with Fritz Kraus. He was a member of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters.
