| | Born in Modesto, CA on May 14, 1917. At age two Zumwalt moved with his family to a ranch near Williams, CA. After graduating from Williams High School, he moved to San Francisco and began a four-year period at the CSFA. Following his discharge from the Marines at the end of WWII, he shared a partnership in an advertising art firm in San Jose and there developed into a fine lithographer. Duck hunting and fishing are often the subjects of his works. He died in San Jose, CA on May 30, 1976.
