| | Born in Mount Shasta, CA on Dec. 2, 1911. Zelle studied at UC Berkeley and CCAC. While a resident of Sacramento in 1930s-1950s, Zelle taught in the public schools. He died in Albany, OR on Jan. 29, 1998. Working in pastel, oil, and watercolor, he produced both representational and abstract canvases. Exh: Kingsley Art Club, 1939; Calif.
