This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Born in Buffalo, New York, he earned a BA in 1970 from Buffalo State College and then became active in modernist art circles in New York City. In 1978, he received an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. His paintings are a layering of text and images with titles such as "The History of the World" and references to a wide variety of cultures from Mayan to English. |
