| As a licensed falconer, Pete brings to his work a first hand understanding of his “subjects”. A degree in fine arts from The Art Institute of Chicago along with a life long fascination for birds adds to the style in his pieces. Since he began carving in 1986, all of his work has been dominated by birds. Pete was awarded “Best in World” for an unprecedented three consecutive years in decorative miniature wood carving from the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art’s World Championship Wildfowl (showing 500 of 770 characters). |
