Born Burlington, IA, 1899. Painter, specialized in landscapes. Studied at the Art Institute of Chicago 1918-21 then spent 4 years in Spain, 1 year in Paris, & 2 years in Mexico painting. Worked for a year on the New York Evening Journal. Taught at Washburn College, Topeka beginning in 1929.
