Biography Max Schallinger
Max Schallinger was born in Elensee, Austria in 1902. He studied painting and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. During that time he also studied pottery and became a master potter and member of the potter's guild. He also studied at the Academy at Munich, and for a short tome at the Dessau.
Afterwards, Max Schallinger became teacher and first assistant to Professor Franz Ciseck in the Children's Art School in Vienna. He executed a mural and some sculpture under the direction of Max Reinhardt on the stage set of "The Miracle'. He exhibited in various places in Europe: in 1925, International Exhibit in Paris; in 1927, in the Glass Palace in Munich; and in practically all the cities of Austria. In 1932 he came to America
