Peter Rodriguez was born in Stockton, California of Mexican parents on June 25, 1926. A self-taught painter, Rodriguez works in an abstract expressionist manner. In 1975 he founded the Mexican Museum in San Francisco to showcase Mexican art. He currently lives in San Francisco.
