Born in California in 1855. Catherine was the wife of Edward A. Rogers. While employed in the art department of the San Francisco Call, she painted still lifes and landscapes in her leisure. After the earthquake of 1906, she moved across the bay to Oakland where she remained until her demise on May 14, 1928.
